Hey Gil,

TextWrangler analyzes the contents of a file for type - at least if it hasn't been manually set in the TextWrangler/BBEdit UI and saved.

By and large it get's things right, but it can be wrong if the file content doesn't follow the rules.  (If you want to know what the rules are you'll have to ask Bare Bones.)
