I second Stan's sentiment.
Script Debugger is a professional development tool. We spend a lot more than $200 on such tools - some of which aren’t nearly as useful and well built.
For the portion of our automation leveraging AppleScript using Script Debugger is essential. Not only is Script Debugger more efficient - the ability to explore inside an apps object model while it’s running allows us to automate things that would not be possible any other way.
Like Stan - absolutely no connection to LateNight.

>Whether you're a professional or do scripting for fun, buying Script Debugger is money is well spent. I would estimate that it saves 40% of my effort. What would take me five hours with Script Editor can be done in three with Debugger. Your return on investment (ROI) will depend on the rate at which you value your time and how much time you spend scripting. The greater value, though, is not efficiency, but effectiveness—your ability to achieve a desired result is greatly enhanced by Debugger's rich feature set. That translates into less frustration and greater peace of mind, especially under a deadline.
