Father Christmas,

There is another option: don't upgrade. I have been comfortably staying on Snow Leopard since I can't remember. Everything works the way I want it to and I have never found anything in the newer OS's which was worth the trouble and cost to upgrade. In fact, there are many "improvements" that I would pay not to have :) Indeed, to me, every successive iteration seems to get worse. Like you, I'm 72 and expect Snow Leopard to outlive me :)
