I wish to add that it begin with these lines :
/* File: CarbonCore/Folders.h
Contains: Folder Manager Interfaces. The contents of this header file are deprecated. Use NSFileManager instead.
Deprecated or not, what a little treasure trove that is.
Meanwhile, I was rooting around in
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CarbonCore.framework/CarbonCore
to find some surprising strings:
ERROR: Can't get SInt64 value for key: ERROR: arithmetic overflow value for key: ERROR: Steve's a bonehead for key: ERROR: Bad value type %d for:
That third ERROR message is presumably a bug… 😮.
And this one, though undoubtedly correct in context, raises philosophical questions about referential transcendence (cf David Lewis’s theory of modality and the “true in all possible worlds” condition):
%s: KISSING WILL AFFECT PERFORMANCE!
Best
