Hi Sandy,

Our review program is slow, but we do get folks to do a review b/c they get to keep the software/book they review. Now & then we'll get a piece of hardware that we can keep.

They get 60 days from the time they get the item to give the review back to me.

I have a contract that both parties (me & whoever is doing the review) sign. Along with their copy, I also give them a sheet with review guidelines.

The reviews come back to me. I do the final formatting to put them into our newsletter or on our website. When they're published, I'll send a copy off to the company we're doing the review from, or to Lorene if she's been the conduit (she passes it on & also knows the review is done).

We decide on who wants to do the review based on interest - someone interested in Illustrator will do the review (plus, they get to keep the software). It's a great way to get a piece of software that you might otherwise never have, plus be able to give back to the mug community.

A lot of the time, a review will fall on my shoulders if we have an opportunity and no one else is interested. The main thing there is passing it around to others who might have the interest.

Hi

Our group has a beast of a time getting folk to finish reviews on product. Am
wondering how other groups handle reviews? How do you decide who does the
review? How much time do they get? Where do the reviews go so the vendor knows
they were done? (For example, the recent software from Apple or others)
