Perhaps you misunderstood my message. I don't advocate the use of the
Apple logo in any way other than that approved by Apple.
What I'd like to see is for Apple to relax a little and allow the use of
its logo in conjunction with user group art. That is, as an example, let
us use the Apple logo as a freestanding element on a shirt, as on the
sleeve. Having been guilty of using the Apple logo in the design for our
user group logo (very subtly and no longer being used), I can attest to
your observation of logos using the Apple that are not particularly 'creative'.
Here's the best part...every one of us has the Apple logo on our
Mac...(option/shift/k) -- if Apple were truly adamant about its use,
perhaps it ought not be so readily available. :-)
