Did *I* mention any names? ;)

There's not much question that we would all *like* to be able to use it
in a tasteful fashion. (Who decides on what is tasteful is one of the
challenges.)
If you look at the agreement/guidelines just to use the MUG signature
version, contemplate what it would look like if it had to address all
the uses MUGs *might* put it to.
The other thing that might come with more liberal usage would be a
licensing of MUGs by Apple. Right now we can call ourselves "Macintosh
User Groups" or "Apple User Groups" and by meeting minimal guidelines,
can get listed, with links, on the Apple web site. If we follow the
guidelines, we *do* get a version of the logo that we can use in limited
fashion. No paperwork, no hassles. Many other companies tend to license
any enthusiast group who wants to use their name (and sometimes that
means $$$).
Seems like we have it pretty good right now.
