Copyright infringement is very serious business. And, as I said, it
sounded to me like this individual was soliciting someone to take
over development of a tool for that express purpose.
You're incredibly naive and short-sighted if you think p2p is solely
for the purpose of 'piracy'.
That's like saying that you should ban the Internet because its only
use is for porn.
If you can't see the legitimate uses for publicly available,
'commons'-style p2p networks, your bias is simply preventing you from
looking... because there are many, many, many powerful, legitimate
uses for p2p networks such as Bitstream and its ilk.
Perhaps you have too much stock invested in Time/Warner...
Anyway, as you say, this is wildly OT. I suggest we debate p2p dogma
privately, as this has nothing whatsoever to do with Cocoa.
