Of course, I could simply put NSDate in my Favorites list, where it
would only be a keypress away.
My problem with the favorites is, that I don't know what to put there.
The only classes I definitely use more often than others in my
projects, are my own ... :)
I think a history of classes used most recently would be more helpful
to me.
The other argument would be that the frequent items should be near the
bottom, so the mouse has less distance to travel to get to the list of
classes.
Since AppKiDo resides in the upper left of my screen, the difference
between moving the mouse to the top or the bottom of the list is
negligible. What takes time is looking for the desired entry. And I'm
usually reading from top to bottom.
(Of course by now I know I have to search from bottom to top in
AppKiDo. Still ...)
I realize that by this logic, the Favorites button should be at the
bottom.
Well, if one could reorder the items, you wouldn't have to bother ...
:-)
The order of the quicklists is roughly the order in which I would
teach them to a class.
Yes. That's all nice and dandy. But it's not of much help in my case.
As I said, I usually know what I'm looking for. Did I mention that a
flexible list view instead of some fixed radio buttons would probably
help? ;-)
But I am digressing from the subject of how to be helpful to you...
Not at the least. I'm always really interested in human interface
questions.
But I think we are getting seriously off topic. So I'll better stop
nitpicking now. :)
