I thought that by now resources were supposed to be *gone*, or at
least turned into data-fork equivalents. But if classic is an option
(I assume you mean use Resedit, which can't AFAIK edit data-fork
resources unless you use some converter like QuickEdit or whatever it's
called)
And for that matter, *can* Carbon TIFF images, or is it limited to
CURS resources. That seems odd, since both Cocoa and Carbon both
access CoreFoundation. It also seems like CURS resources should be
usable from Cocoa (not that anyone would want to - unless there's some
256*256 pixel curs resource out there, which there're might be - it
been a while since I used Resedit last).
Has Apple ever considered Open-Sourcing Resedit so that it could be
carbonized - if there isn't a carbon version already. (or at least the
parts of it that can - if there's part of the display engine that is
licensed, forget that - it would have to be rewritten anyway)
