Thanks for the replies.

My connection is 8mbit an the sheet comes up in one second when I click on a link.

I did download the pref panel mentioned, and it say's that Finder is my ftp browser. ( btw how do you select the finder anyway with this 'more preferences' app )

Is there something wrong with my finder?

Anyone have more suggestions?
