Yes, I'd seen that previously. Thanks for reminding me; I'd mislaid the URL.

I did attempt (with that information) to write an IBEditor class to handle editing, but it always crashed. Either there are subtle differences between the OpenStep and Mac OS X implementations, or I misunderstood something; always easy to happen without sample code.

Anyway, I'm now using the default view editor and only do special event handling for dragging the dividers in IB, which works 99% of the time. Even so, my view isn't always redisplayed properly. Also, deleting and pasting causes all sorts of unwanted side-effects. I can live with both problems for now.

Still, now that I have a better mental model of how IB handles stuff, I may try again writing an IBEditor based on the Sun docs...
