I want to get my application in the dock automatically without the
user doing it manually by dragging and dropping the same on the dock.
Any help in this regard will be really helpful.
Please tell us what is your application, so we can avoid it altogether.
As a user, I would be very upset to see an application putting itself
in the dock! I don't use MS systems for a reason... I'm pretty
confident it is contrary to Apple's recommendation anyway (none of
Apple applications does that, except the Finder).
Note: Users don't have to drag and drop applications in the dock to
keep them here. It is enough to start them, and then, to move their
dock icon to some other place, or to use the provided contextual menu.
