If you want to do Cocoa, then use Objective-C or go home. Traditional Java
still works fine, but Cocoa Java is being phased out.
This was the message I got from a recent developer meet in Sydney. Java on
Mac is still very much supported, but Java/Swing (cross platform), not
Java/Cocoa (OS X only). If you're happy to just target OS X, then Cocoa is
good.
