Wrong. GUI does not equal to Finder. You need to go lower, so as, for example, those who use PathFinder or RBrowser aren't SOL.


You seem forgetting that Finder is a file manager, not the file manager.

Actually, Microsoft's system allows for third-party Explorers which can use their extensions. It's much more flexible than Apple's way, and it's extensible too. Have you looked into it?

I don't fancy religious wars.

Apple's system is much better for it *just works* anywhere *without any explicit support* (since it extends the standard filesystem, which any application can do with). That's all, and I won't continue this debate.
