Hi there.
I have one Lacie 21/108 monitor with BlueEye calibrator. I find the monitor
to be a bit brighter than the others I have (2 Studio Display 21" and 2 Sony
21") so I was wondering if I should try to lower the luminance? It is setup
to 75 cd/m2 now. I know that the others are quite well calibrated (even
though they are software calibrated) since I have had no surprices from the
prints (Offset and LightJet). The Lacie is brighter than the others after
calibration and I tried to software calibrate it (disconnected the BlueEye
and software) and used Adobe Gamma instead and then it was in sync with the
others. Should I try lowering the luminance level in the BlueEye software to
match it or is that not a good idea? I noticed that after BlueEye
calibration it read 75.3 cd/m2 (75.4 cd/m2 target) and black level was 0.4
cd/m2 (0.34 cd/m2 target). Could the higher black level be the issue? I dont
seem to be able to get it lower than 0.4 cd/m2.
Thanks in advance for your help.
regards
Chris
