Profiling Epson 9000

We have been attempting to generate a usable profile for our Epson 9000. Our
rip vendor, Visual Edge, has also been attempting to do the same using
Colorblind Matchbox, while we have been using Monaco Profiler. In most
cases, we are getting results that print neutral grays as either greens or
browns at some point along a gradient created in Photoshop. Has anyone
experienced this problem or has anyone been able to understand what is
causing the profiles to perform this transformation when going from either
rgb or cmyk to the 6-color printer. We have posted questions to both Monaco
and Colorblind for some assistance, but they don't seem interested in
responding to this problem? Hmm.
