I don't think it would even be possible to have a standard profile. One
might say the colorimetric table conforms to TR001 (both in and out of
the PCS), but the perceptual table by definition is vague.

However, I think getting something going on this is important and to find
out what applications build good usable profiles in the real world for
this data set since that is the colorimetric target for TR001. And SWOP
is now based on both this colorimetric performance as well as visual
analysis (no tolerances yet that I'm aware of however).

IOW, it's a step in the right direction. I encourage all of the profile
vendors to stick TR001 through their software and make a profile
available to the public.
