As a developer of printer driver technology I can say that automatic
job nesting can be implemented in software within the RIP / printer
driver for the majority of wide format, copier, or desktop page
printers. Regardless of whether the printer is driven by Postscript,
PCL, or raster data. It is just that RIPs / printer drivers will
normally eject the page at the end of each job.

My advice would therefore be to request the feature from the printer
manufacturer if you use their driver, or the manufacturer of your RIP.
