Epson Stylus Pro 5000 vs. 5500

  • Subject: Epson Stylus Pro 5000 vs. 5500

I know that this subject has been rehashed several times, but I wanted to
check for a current status. Is the general concensus still that the Epson
Archival Inks AKA pigmented inks are to be avoided due to metamerism issues?

My second question is how much smaller is the gamut of the pigmented inks
vs. the dye inks?

I need an inkjet capable of feeding letter size paper that is usable with
BESTColor and am considering whether to get a Stylus Color Pro 5000 (if I
can still find one) or a 5500. Secondarily, does anyone know if the Epson
7000 is capable of feeding letter size paper?

Thanks,

Abe Hayhurst
