Grayscale Profile Help.

Good day everyone,

I'm having the following problem and am wondering if any can offer anything
in the way of an explanation.

I am creating grayscale printer profiles. According to the ICC Spec, you
must have a tone reproduction curve, description tag, and a white point.

I have all of these.

Now I went a step further and added a black point tag, thinking, and I
believe logically, that this would give you a better reproduction: white ->
black and the curve representing the tone reproduction between the two.

However while this profile is seen as valid, no conversion from grayscale to
any other space seems to treat the media black point as anything other than
lab of 0,0,0 which I can validate is not in the tag.

Personally, I do not feel that this is appropriate behavior for the
conversion.

I'll find a workaround one way or another, but any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.

By the way, this product is close to completion, and has a lot of nice bells
and whistles for creation and editing, particularly for prepress use. If
anyone would be interested in beta testing, please contact me off the list.
