I should run a short test before replying ... the answer I
gave last night was plain wrong in some details.

Update:

The Sequel puck type sensor *is recognized* by the old
ADB software if connected through an ukey adaptor.

It is *not recognized* by the new USB-aware software that
comes with the new spider type Seuqel sensor.
