Sorry for the second post (think, then send!).
You said that the default rendering in a scanner profile is perceptual but
isn't that true of virtually ALL profiles (with the exception of monitor
profiles I suppose)? In other words, just because the scanner profile has
perceptual set as the default, does this necessarily mean that a scannerRGB
to workingspaceRGB conversion can ONLY be perceptual and would overide my
default rendering intent in PS6?
Of course, if a scanner profile essentially has perceptual as it's only
intent then that's all you would get. Which leads to....do all profiling
applications set perceptual as the only rendering intent for
input/scanner/digicamRGB profiles?
