I've been away so pardon my tardiness for this reply. With BestColor DE 1.1
you can effectively custom profile output devices with appropriate profiling
applications and measurement devices. Kludgey , yes but certainly doable.
You start by linearising with the InkAssistant, printing out until the base
lin appears to simulate a press sheet color bar , save out a .cmy file, and
profile. Put the .cmy file in the same folder as the profile, correctly load
the .cmy file in the linearistion table and profile under colour management
tab. The choice of reference profile (press profile for real world naming)
greatly influences the output so choose something reasonable like Adobe Euro
V2 or SimuChroma and voila complete custom ICC control. To see more go to
the BestColor forum> both DE and proof sections for more details.
