Yes, thats how it works with the EyeOne... though you could use those EyeOne
targets with ProflerPRO and a SpectroLino/SpectroScan as well.

They seem to intend this type of usage, and recommend it. You could think of
it as software drivers for their hardware tools... and they have the
advantage of getting users to download a copy of their profiling software in
the bargain, so the possibility of users upgrading to the full version of it
at some point is always there.

They seem to have made a commitment to its availability already for other
purposes, so I'm not losing sleep over it. Whether they would want their
EyeOne supported by OptiCAL is an issue I'm less clear on...
