Profiling for Epson 2200 - where an I find "Same as Source" profile

Deb -

You might be right on the "Same as Source" meaning the Source Space and nothing more. I thought of this but thought that someplace it would explain the meaning of "Same as Source" if it wasn't actually a profile.

Anyway, with this in mind what in the world would I select for a profile? Like I said, there's a million of the things and it's not obvious which one would be the correct choice. I have tried "Apple RGB" so maybe that is the correct choice if I need to print something where NO color conversion is done by the printer (like a color target).

On more thing - on the print panel (this is EPSON on MAC OS 9.2) it says the Source Space is "Document:Color Lab" So again, what would be the profile to match "Same As Source" for this?

Thanks again for your time.

Hi David,
I think everyone is missing the point -- "Same as Source" isn't the actual name of anything. I think what the instructions are trying to say is, select the same profile as the source (current) profile space the target is already in, so that there is no conversion.
Does this help any? I may have missed an email or two in this thread .....
Have you called Epson to get them to walk you through the steps? It sounds like they need to update their documentation.

Nope - it's not there. But there is one heck of a lot of profiles though. Maybe I need to reinstall the EPSON software?

OK - Same as Source is not a profile, but how do I select it - find it. so I can avoid printer conversion?
As I said, it's not anywhere in the list of print space profiles. Even the EPSON manual has it listed and refers to it on page 44, under Printing a Custom Profile Test Target, Step 4 "Print Space - Profile Select - Same as Source"
Soooooooooooo, what should I do?

Scroll to the very top of the list; if its not there, something is wrong.
