In my Mac, always the system screen effects turns on the monitor appear
to loose the gamma settings in the monitor profile, it is necessary to
click in the profile name in the color tab in display pane...

Hello,
I'm having hard times trying to get monitor calibrations to work
automatically with multiple users in Mac OS X 10.2.6
I have calibrated monitors with GretagMacbeth Spectrolino and
MeasureTool 4.5.1. After calibration, calibration data is saved in
Users > Shared -folder so that every user can access it.
Problem is that every time user logs in to the workstation he/she
should first start MeasureTool and load calibration data. After that
he/she should also select the right profile from System preferences >

therefore I'm trying to get it automated.
Profile is no problem. That is easy to solve, but calibration data
not. MeasureTool is not scriptable with AppleScript, so here lies my
problem.
Do anybody happen to know what data exactly is loaded and where in
the system, when data is loaded into MeasureTool > Calibrate monitor
> System Status?
I could probably try to make some kind of a Unix shell script to
automate the loading of calibration data if I only would know where
and what to look after. Maybe... :-)
As Bruce said, the calibration data is saved in the profile and will
be loaded at user log-in by the system Once the profile is built, you
don't need to use measuretool or anything else again.
If you put the profile in the system-wide location of
<drive>/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ then it will be visible to all
users. Each user needs to explicitly select the profile in the Color
tab of the Display System Preferences pane (speaking of pane, that
terminology is such a pain - I preferred calling them control panels).
Once the profile is selected the calibration curves stored within will
be loaded when the user logs in.

Steve
