My apologies for being unclear. I'll bet my instrument needs are similar
to many on this list. I needed a Spectro for a multitude of tasks,
hopefully one that would read strips like this to save labor time with
printer charts. I was not looking for a profiling package. The options
are few in a range I can afford. A more suitable EyeOne package for
someone like me would be the device and an application with some of the
MeasureTool functions that comes with it, that's all I need. I'm not
unhappy with the product, that the included Match package makes very
good monitor profiles is nice (though I didn't need it), and one day
I'll try the printer profiling to see how it compares with other apps at
hand. I would have preferred to buy those functions additionally if desired.
Perhaps there is a market for a more basic package, the device and basic
functionality software, that's all I'm saying.
Sorry for taking the lists time with this and apparently speaking a
foreign language. These comments would be more suitably directed toward
Gretag.

Since no method of measuring and saving out a text file was provided
with the instrument, it's shocking some of these functions didn't come

there are functions in MeasureTool beyond basic needs, some of these
things should have come free with it as they do with other devices.
It is free, it supports dozens of instruments and the only thing you've said
that may be a hassle for those of you on dial up is the size of the
download. So if GM put just the MeasureTool as a separate download that
would be better? Not impossible.
You want MeasureTool functionality in Match? I disagree. Match was made for
ease of use/wizard base functionary and a very small group of users this
tool is aimed for would use a MeasureTool in any capacity. If you need that
tool, it's available free of charge.
