My apologies for being unclear. I'll bet my instrument needs are similar to many on this list. I needed a Spectro for a multitude of tasks, hopefully one that would read strips like this to save labor time with printer charts. I was not looking for a profiling package. The options are few in a range I can afford. A more suitable EyeOne package for someone like me would be the device and an application with some of the MeasureTool functions that comes with it, that's all I need.
Right, like the Eye-One Pro package that was available before the newest Eye-One line up was released. Although it still had the ability to build monitor profiles with the Eye-One Match software.

I'm not unhappy with the product, that the included Match package makes very good monitor profiles is nice (though I didn't need it), and one day I'll try the printer profiling to see how it compares with other apps at hand. I would have preferred to buy those functions additionally if desired.
yeah, we have had this request from a number of people. The "nice" thing about the current Photo system is it basically costs about the same as the older "Eye-One Pro" system that is probably the one you wanted...

Perhaps there is a market for a more basic package, the device and basic functionality software, that's all I'm saying.
I think there might be but I'm not sure it's big enough to get on GretagMacbeth's radar right now...

Sorry for taking the lists time with this and apparently speaking a foreign language.
no, I hear you. I think there is a group like you who are only looking for the hardware and basic measurement software. Perhaps we'll see something in the future.

These comments would be more suitably directed toward Gretag.
That's not a bad idea at all. If you want contact information, let me know and I'll send you some off list. Of course, you're no longer in that market as you now own one <g>.

Steve
