You're absolutely right to be concerned about it's distribution level. As
this entails things like support and support user groups it's a choice that
seriously points to Best, not to a proprietary typically monopolistic
attitude of Dupont.

Best , period. You have to be able to keep up with changing paper stocks
inks and other developments quickly, even printer drivers. Best are making
rip solutions that you bring the printer to the party, the inks you like,
papers etc.
Seems what I saw and disliked about the new Piezo Chromalin B4? Is it's
locked into such a limited choice of paper, ink everything. Locked into it's
merits but also defaults forevermore.

version of Best. Does anyone know that for certain?
Best OEM for quite a few and even have agreements with other suppliers
towards them. I think that OEM products can be value added, as the third
party can ask for feature sets that are adding new nonexistent in the
developers main line. The Sony Artisan and it's calibration comes to mind

There are many other iterative CM'd rips such as GMG that will handle Delta
lists but if the choice and a very viable working solution with full ICC
multi printer support then Best is a winner that works very very well.
