RIP Issues

Hi All

I've got a client who is trying to move towards a full RGB work flow with
last minute CMYK conversions at the RIP. They are using the Harlequin 5.3
and find that when they convert RGB to CMYK the K channel is empty.

Does anyone have any experience of this, or would you all suggest an upgrade
of the RIP is in order, as I have.
