From an earlier post by Bruce Fraser :
My experience has been that it's possible to get identical results
from the 2100/2200 in OS9 and OS X. One key factor seems to be that
when you install a new Epson driver, you have to manually remove
all trace of the old one first, otherwise you get problems like the
ones described here...
Well, I have no trace of earlier drivers on my system ... but
perhaps Bruce, you could give us some clues about how you're
managing to achieve this. Are you *really* experiencing none of the
problems so many of us are having?
Really.
I print profiling targets out of Photoshop, using Source = Document,
Print = Same as Source, driver set to No Color Adjustment.
I build profiles from said targets.
I print from Photoshop (or InDesign) using Source = Document, Print =
the profiles I built above, driver set to No Color Adjustment.
I don't try to print from Preview, or iPhoto, or anything else that
relies on OS-level color management. I hope that some day it may be
safe to do so, but that day clearly has yet to arrive. But I don't
have any problems printing from Photoshop, InDesign, or Acrobat.
