I'll second that...and I think you're being awfully polite! This statement
also applies to their (in my opinion) really dodgy DCam software as well.

I'm also a paying SilverFast end user and agree wholeheartedly it is far
and above better than most manufacturer's supplied scanner software (for
professional use anyways). Its cost is a small price to pay for the
increase in productivity. The manual is a bit cryptic when it comes to the
color management section, but a few toasted brain cells later I think I've
got it ironed out. Someone should take it upon themselves to re-write the
damn thing in English...
