I experienced similar frustration after running the updater on my
G4-connected 2200. Could see printer, only as Firewire though, but no
amount of PrintCenter work would get files to print as before. Files
would spool but then queue would stop.
Suggested fix from Epson tech support was to trash the /Library/Epson
folder (root user needed) and re-install the updated driver package;
first time I tried this I failed to have printer turned OFF and got no
significant difference. Dawned on me later that they mention turning
printer ON later in re-install procedure so perhaps I should turn it
OFF before doing the delete-restore sequence (has to be OFF to turn ON,
right?!) & that worked. Printer function restored, with new
capabilities enabled.
I just recently cleaned my e-mail & would offer to forward Epson's
reply to my request; I still have it on my home system though, so it's
yours if you ask.
