Cris,
Thank you for the reply. Actually, they do have a RIP, the ProofMaster
(version 1.0.something). Unfortunately, they're not too sure it's the
best RIP for their 10600.
Not to mention, these guys are not very familiar with the color
management concept and dread using the ProofMaster Calibrator
(linearization/profile creation software included with the RIP). The
Software doesn't support their Gretagmacbeth ICColor Spectrophotometer
and for some reason PM Calibrator will not recognize the supported
Eye-One Pro, even-though the i1 works well with the Measure Tool.
Basically, I've been asked to either confirm that their ProofMaster RIP
was a worthy investment or look into a user-friendly, mac driven RIP
that supports their printer and their ICColor. (I'm thinking this may
not exist.)
I'd appreciate any suggestions for a RIP/Media Brand/OS combo suitable
for this printer and their fine art media needs.
Thank again,
Vanita
