If your Spectroscan has a black table, place the swatch on the table. If your Spectroscan does not have a black table, locate a section of dense black substrate and use that as backing material.

Launch the ColorPicker module of ProfileMaker and measure the specific swatch. Convert the measurement to device color for your choice of RGB working space. Check that your monitor space is able to hold the color. Calibrate and characterize your monitor, and use a viewing booth.
