Yes, since the post I was responding to did not name the printer by
name in the body of the post, I was responding about a different
possible machine, not the R800, which as a consumer printer does
not contain its own microweave functions in the machine, but
requires software implimentation of them, like the 2200. Whether
having previously supported the 2200 softweave will be of direct
assistance in supporting the R800 is the question.
It will, if it was coded sensibly (i. e. parameterized). The exact
head configuration's different, but the principles are the same. The
2200 is actually a bit more difficult than the R800, since the heads
are offset.
