<I'm becoming increasingly convinced that color management doesn't improve
because customers are more interested in calling vendors stupid for not
supporting their ideas than in working together to tell all vendors what
they expect, how what they see differs from that, and why it's important.>
Software designed logically (with the vendor actually doing the research),
does what it says, that's relatively bug free, and well documented is all
the end users want. If it doesn't work well I don't call vendors stupid, I
just don't recommend it to other people until the vendor gets it straight. I
don't care if it hurts their bottom line, this isn't about being fair. If
they are convinced they are on the right path anyway, its their right to
suck forever and get crushed by a more dynamic company who understand the
NEEDS AND WANTS OF THE CUSTOMERS. At least Apple doesn't try to crush the
users who voice up, it's a lot more than can be said for most other
companies.
