Could you provide definitions of "spectral matching failure" and
"metamerism failure" which compare and contrast their differences ?
I have always believed that "metamerism failure" _was_ "spectral
matching failure." (Defined in each instance for a given
observer/recorder, of course.)
I don't see how the two phrases can be differentiated from one
another, since both "explain" illuminate-dependant miss-matches of
the reflective stimulus their observer/recorder "records."
