Wolf,

lets describe it like this:

Assume there is a monitor that has the properties of sRGB.
To reach this properties, it has to use a set of three bulbs
(red, green and blue) that are manufactured by Osramylvania.

Now, your monitor is manufactured by Sonybishi. Sonybishi will use
bulbs manufactured by General Motors, and the red bulb
is more orange in comparison to the Osramylvania red bulb.
Every monitor manufacturer uses his own bulbs.

So the sRGB profile wont match for your monitor.

Now, when you get a picture thats in sRGB, all reds
on your Sonybishi monitor would be orange red. To correct
this mistake, photoshop and your OS have to calculate
a correction between sRGB and your Sonybishi monitor.
The result is that the reds are displayed red again.

Hope this helps
