Depending on the model you have, some
will allow you to control the geometry via the on-screen menus. Doing this
with the software is obviously the preferred method but you may be able
to adjust the geometry with the controls on the monitor itself. I will
also add that many of the Barco monitors we had here suffered from geometry
problems. The display area would tend to decrease and increase sporadically
throughout the day (we called it "breathing"). It was hypothesized
that the power supply was the culprit, but crating the beast up and shipping
it to California for a $800 repair was not an option. Most of them have
now been replaced with Eizo ColorEdge LCD's.
Unless you are getting a really great
deal you may want to look at a new CRT instead of an old Barco. You can
usually find out how many hours the Barco has been used (again, using the
on-screen menus) and possibly use that information as leverage on a better
deal.
