Hi
First thanks to those who replied to my question RE scanner clipping
recently. I have done some testing and think it may be due to the lower
Dmax in the it8 relative to the typical images being scanned.
I have just been working with a large format document/plan scanner
called a Colortrac 3680e. I have been asked to see if a profile will
help with document colour matching. I have made an initial reflective
profile using a Kodak it8 with reasonable success, but only for
photographic images. I am assuming that a different approach may be
required for scanning material that does not contain photo dyes.
Much of the material that would be scanned may be architect plans and
drawings. Has anyone profiled scanners for these types of conditions?
My understanding is that this scanner uses two cameras scanning across
an aperture and the images are stitched together.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted
Thanks
Simon
