Hello --
We've been testing iQueue with good results but one big problem --
apparently while iQueue writes a file it doesn't lock it properly, so our
RIP (Production House) begins processing the file before it is completely
written. It'll error out several times before it finally gets the completed
file from iQueue. The file originates on a Mac, is printed through an OS X
Fullpress printer queue, the output of which goes to an input folder for
iQueue (Windows), which outputs to a hot folder for Production House. It's
been suggested that the problem is the Mac not locking the file properly,
but the process works fine if we simply bypass iQueue. Plus the problem
occurs between iQueue and Production House, both on Windows platforms.
Anyone have experience with this? Should I perhaps be looking at something
other then iQueue?
Thanks,
Bob
