The Kodak RP30 is the same machine as the Agfa DLab. It's made by Agfa, and
with minor changes it miraculously becomes a Kodak. I've color managed our
Agfa Dlab.
The answer to your question is that neither of them use color management
internally. One must profile the machine after linearizing the paper, and
then the files that are sent to the printer can be converted to that profile
in Photoshop. One must take care to use "repro mode" when sending color
managed files to the machine, otherwise the front end logic will change the
file in unexpected ways depending on the image content.

Subject: Color management capabilities of Kodak RP30
I have a client who apparently have been abandoned by Kodak (according
to him they've given up on his color).
I'm trying to find out whether a Kodak RP30 coupled with a Kodak HR500
scanner can be color managed internally with ICC profiles (color
settings for scanner and output profile). I've been trawling the net
but can't find anything even close to mentioning the capabilities -
except that kodak has profiles available for the output unit, but they
also have profiles for a ton of other third party printers...
I'd be grateful for any inside knowledge anyone can offer...
Best Regards
