Hello Bill,
That was not what I was saying and I assume you understand that. I was
saying that there are numerous sources for information on RIP software.
I did not say anything about the way they use the information published
on their website or in magazines and surely not if they are biased or
not. My reaction was not intended to become a rant on specific
organizations or magazines. Sure, FLAAR may be biased, but still,
there's info to be found there.
I was merely pointing out that the Colorsync user group is a group of
people that has a combined knowledge you could all benefit from. If you
were to do some research and combine your own practical info with the
info from others, you would be able to build a nice list with
information about the practical use of several RIP's. I totally agree
that it would be much easier if there's one source of information and I
would gladly assist in providing answers or information. You are free to
contact us and ask for information about our products. You can even get
a free demo version without much trouble, and our support team will help
you out should you have any questions. As simple as that.
Bottom line: why not focus on helping each other instead of only
pointing out what your opinion is about FLAAR?
I better be lurking instead of posting, I guess. ;)
Kind regards,
Roland Biemans

I have to say that anyone who suggests FLAAR as a good source of
unbiased
information are themselves questionable as a good source.
