OS X Preview -- wrong size

--------------------
What is the deal about the information given in Photoshop Magazine by Ben Willmore about -
"View>Print Size"
being incorrect in Photoshop.
One needs to go through a process to find the exact resolution of their particular monitor -
then set this resolution in the Photoshop preferences -
then actually use the "ZOOM Print Size" button (and not "View> Print Size") -
to get Photoshop to produce the actual size of a final print in pixels on the screen.

This seems to hold true on the systems we have tested it on.
