I was surprised to find that the latest generation of Spyder2's can double
as LCD projection system profiler. The EyeOnePro and EyeOneDisplay can both
be used in ambiant mode to measure the light projected to a projection
screen or a wall by an LCD or DLP projector but the Spyder2 seems to be the
only one of these devices capable of actually measuring the light being
*reflected* off the wall or projection screen, thereby measuring the color
stimulus that reaches our visual system, taking into consideration the color
of the wall or projection screen. A far better proposition in terms of color
management. Anyone tried this already?
Now, if only I could find an LCD projector...
