I printed out 2 ramps straight out of the RIP. No total ink limit and no profile. Just the density/linearization file applied in the RIP. One black only at 5% increments and one CMY at 5% increments. Measured both twice via Eye-One share and averaged the results and plotted the Lab "a" and "b" values to see where I'm at. Oh boy, a and b values all over the place. Both K only and CMY.
SO, how to tackle this? Adjust linearization curves to get the a and b values back in line/balance?
