Profile comparison discrepancy

Was comparing the shapes of several multi-channel profiles in Profile Editor Gamut view, ColorSync and ColorThink. When comparing the same set of profiles in each application, the "results" are drastically different.

Does anyone know why this would be?
Do some of these applications not like multi-channel profiles?
Do some of these applications deal with secret-sauce better than others?
