No need to "rip" anything out of the System directory. Just go into System Preferences and choose "Keyboard & Mouse". Then choose the Keyboard Shortcuts tab. Near the top you will see the Universal Access controls. Just uncheck the box right to the left of "Universal Access" to turn off the whole lot.
... or just run our little app "Universal Soldier" that you can download from www.basiccolor.de for free (Registration required, sorry). We wrote it as a part of basICColor display 4 to make sure, Universal Access is forced to default before calibrating the monitor. But we thought it would be a good idea to have it as a separate app as well.
As a Systems integrator, those are two of the first things I shut off when doing an installation. Universal Access contrast problems are more rampant then one might think!
If you add "Universal Soldier" to your StartUp Items, you can be sure, your system is "combat ready"
